Review of the Parrot AR. Drone 2.0

After flying drones for many years now I finally got to lay my hands on the Parrot AR. Drone 2.0 and I have to say I’m not disappointed at all. This is one of the best quadcopters on the market today and while I only had it for a week I’m already saving up to buy my own. This drone is a lot of fun and has some pretty cool features that makes it stand above your average quadcopter on the market today. So let’s get to what you came here for and that is the review of this amazing drone.

Parrot AR. Drone 2.0 Review

So let’s get straight to what makes this quad copter so cool and that is the AR. FreeFlight 2.0 app that you can get for free on the App Store or Android Market. This app allows you to use your smart phone or tablet to control the drone by simply tilting the screen. This that makes this one of the most fun drones to fly and it definitely has a feel unlike any other. With the Absolute Control mode you will be able to switch levels from beginner to expert depending on your flying skill. This is extremely useful when you first buy this drone and are still getting the hang of things.

You can even record the videos you take and share them directly from the app to either a video platform like YouTube or even to your social media accounts for your friends and family to see. You can even unlock achievements which makes flying this drone a lot like a game which will definitely make it even more fun for kids. The camera that comes this drone is a HD camera with 720p video at 30 fps which is really good. This definitely makes it one of the best drones with cameras on the market today.

A lot of people worry that because of the price that if it breaks they are out of luck but this is not true. Any part the on this drone can be easily replaced and every single part is available on the Parrot website. Also the way this quadcopter was built makes it extremely resistant to damage so don’t be afraid to try all the crazy tricks you can think of. The body itself has an extremely robust structure that allows it to absorb the impact of crashes and the fact that is made out of foam makes it so the mechanical parts are less likely to take damage when you do happen to crash. Overall this is a really high quality quadcopter that will be sure to serve you well for a long time. I definitely recommend the Parrot AR. Drone 2.0 to any avid flyer out there who wants to improve their collection.
